About rapé

Rapé is a finely ground shamanic snuff from the deep jungles of the Amazon region. It has been used for thousands of years by indigenous tribes such as the Kaxinawá, Nukini, and Yawanawá for ritual, medicinal, and spiritual purposes. Rapé is considered a sacred medicine that can help overcome physical, psychological, and emotional blockages and for very open people it can even induce visions.

Traditional rapé ceremony is consisted of at least two people. Rapé is blown into the nostrils by the other person by a tool called "tepi" pipe. It's a hollow tube made traditionally out of bamboo or bone.

Instantly after rapé is administered, a strong drounding effect is felt and the journey starts and lasts from 15 minutes up to an hour.
